Position Overview

BizTech Fusion is seeking an experienced Lead Environmental Engineer to lead complex environmental, operational, and process improvement initiatives at a manufacturing facility in Graniteville, South Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading projects independently, analyzing processes, identifying automation opportunities, improving standard operating procedures, and developing operational plans. This role will also involve mentoring junior professionals and collaborating with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects and processes with a high degree of autonomy.
• Conduct detailed environmental, operational, and process analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and sustainability.
• Evaluate and redesign standard operating procedures to address evolving operational requirements.
• Develop and execute operational plans for assigned areas.
• Translate analytical findings into practical recommendations and measurable improvements.
• Coach, mentor, review, and delegate work to junior-level professionals.
• Coordinate project activities, priorities, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal departments, external partners, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Use strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and achieve stakeholder alignment.
• Support continuous improvement and other related operational initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex projects with significant autonomy.
• Strong background in environmental, operational, or process analysis.
• Proven experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and redesign standard operating procedures.
• Experience developing and executing operational plans.
• Ability to coach, mentor, review, and delegate work to junior professionals.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into sustainable operational improvements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, analytical, and experienced environmental engineering professional who can independently lead complex initiatives, identify operational improvement opportunities, drive automation and process optimization, and deliver measurable results in a manufacturing environment.
