Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite

Position Overview
BizTech Fusion is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and security integration. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3+ years of relevant DevOps/DevSecOps experience and be comfortable working collaboratively while independently handling assigned engineering tasks.
This is specifically a Junior-level position. Candidates who are primarily Senior DevSecOps Engineers, DevOps Architects, or Principal-level professionals should not be submitted.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, and policy-as-code capabilities into CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate compliance evidence and processes supporting FedRAMP and NIST controls.
- Support environment provisioning and deployment automation.
- Implement and support deployment strategies including blue/green and canary deployments.
- Incorporate AI-assisted tooling for security scanning, testing, and pipeline development.
- Monitor CI/CD pipeline health and help improve software delivery and operational metrics.
- Develop automation using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Collaborate with developers, security teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, and security-related issues.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional DevOps/DevSecOps engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience using AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation.
- Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and/or policy-as-code.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with CI/CD automation and deployment processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to satisfy required background investigation and clearance requirements.
Must-Have Certification
- AWS Certification – DevOps or Security
- Must have an active/relevant AWS DevOps or Security certification.
A copy of the AWS certification is required along with submission details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FedRAMP and NIST security/compliance frameworks.
- AWS certification in DevOps or Security.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted DevSecOps tools and workflows.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance automation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with modern DevSecOps and cloud-native development practices.

AWS DevOps or Security certification is mandatory, and a copy of the certification must be provided with the candidate's submission.
