The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise software development experience in Python, deep knowledge of IPAM/DNS/DHCP, and experience building infrastructure automation and API-driven solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with hardware, networking, storage, platform, software, and SRE teams to build reliable, scalable, and automated infrastructure services that support self-service consumption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
IPAM, DDI & Infrastructure Platforms
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale IPAM and DDI solutions.
- Design scalable IP allocation, DNS, and DHCP strategies across multiple data centers and environments.
- Develop software solutions that can operate reliably and efficiently at large scale.
- Integrate IPAM/DDI platforms with provisioning, bootstrapping, and CMDB workflows.
- Maintain the CMDB as a source of truth, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and automated updates.
- Build infrastructure services that enable automated and self-service consumption.
API Development & Integration
- Develop APIs and integrations to orchestrate infrastructure workflows across compute, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
- Build automated solutions for dynamically allocating, managing, and recycling IP addresses.
- Integrate IPAM services with infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows.
- Develop API-driven workflows for infrastructure automation and lifecycle management.
Infrastructure Automation & Provisioning
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation and onboarding pipelines.
- Automate server provisioning, bootstrapping, and deployment workflows.
- Work with Puppet, Ansible, or similar configuration-management and automation tools.
- Support data center bootstrapping services, including PXE, imaging, and initial OS/hypervisor provisioning.
- Develop solutions for bare-metal provisioning and hypervisor deployment.
Monitoring, Reliability & Operations
- Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for infrastructure health.
- Work with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, or similar technologies.
- Define and track key infrastructure metrics, including availability, latency, capacity, and error rates.
- Analyze operational data and drive improvements in system reliability and performance.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience with Python programming and enterprise software development.
- Deep knowledge of IPAM, DNS, and DHCP in enterprise environments.

- Experience building infrastructure automation and API-driven integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Puppet, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
- Experience working with CMDB systems as a source of truth.
- Familiarity with bare-metal provisioning and hypervisor deployment.
- Knowledge of data center networking concepts, including Fibre Channel.
- Strong Linux experience, including troubleshooting at both the operating-system and hardware layers.
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning, bootstrapping, and deployment automation.
- Strong understanding of APIs, workflow orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale internal infrastructure platforms or "infrastructure as a product."
- Background in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with self-service infrastructure platforms and developer enablement.
- Experience operating in multi-data-center or hybrid environments.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, or similar.
- Experience with PXE, server imaging, OS provisioning, and hypervisor provisioning.
